L*vi - and I was sure the problem was child/prison labor in overseas sweatshops. After searching online for Made in the USA... I found Gusset Clothing. I would have been satisfied with less - just to get made in the USA. But these jeans exceeded my expectations. :) Kudos to Gusset for a good product, for good service, and for employing Americans.

Comment: Gusset Jeans are really the best jeans I've ever owned. I first tried them when Levis moved their manufacturing overseas, but I wish I had tried DG much sooner. Theyre even more comfortable than my old Levis were, and a lot more durable. I would get holes in the crotch seam inside of a year, every time, and it was frustrating because otherwise the fabric was just nicely weathered otherwise. With the Gusset Jeans, on the other hand, they lasted a good 4-5 years before they got frayed enough I felt like I needed to replace them, which is what my order for four pair the other day was. The custom sizing is also fantastic for me, since Im built more like a fireplug than a Marlboro Man. You got to love a company that designs clothes for actual American men instead of trying to fit James Coburn. Each time I've placed an order its come promptly and correctly, even with the custom sizing. The jeans are good and comfy right out of the box. Like I said, these might last me another four or five years. And these jeans arent cheap, although with the quality the price is certainly fair. (For the marketing folks: you should know that the product is so good that I bought it despite DG featuring convicted felon and unAmerican rightwing nutjob G. Gordon Liddy on the website, and you can tell him I said so!)

Comment: The product is made in America, which is what I was looking for. Price is in line with what I expect from a quality product that is made in the USA. However, there is no choice on how you would like to have it shipped. My blue jeans arrived within 5 days of ordering. This company is prompt with e-mails when you order and when it is shipped.

Comment: At 60, I'm a lifelong jeans and tee shirt guy. If I'm not wearing a Southwick suit, Im wearing jeans and a tee shirt (in summer), jeans and a Filson Alaska guide shirt in winter. Diamond Gussets are my all-time favorite jeans. This shopping experience was as effortless and perfect as have been all my shopping experiences with Diamond Gusset for the last many years. Both the company and its product give me great pleasure.

Comment: The purchase was problem free; shipping was relatively quick, with email notification of order receipt and ship date. Tracking info did not work as intended, but no big deal. The product fit was right on, with good quality of manufacture, much better than some competitors Ive had experience with in the past. However, the product I purchased --jeans with abrasion resistance built into the seat, hips, and knees for motorcycle use-- did not seem to have as much protective material in the critical areas as would make good sense. Specifically, the abrasion-resistant lining in the seat of the jeans was very short. It could easily have been 2-4 inches longer in order to offer even more protection in case of impending pavement rash. As it is now, the lining barely extends to the bottom of the back pockets. I probably wouldnt automatically buy additional pairs in the future without specifically checking with the manufacturer to see if modifications had been made. Product quality and fit is A-1, though.
